Interesting recruiting note

At this point our 2011 class has just as many recruits with BCS offers as the entire 2010 class (assuming Carter Wall signs this week). Not bad, considering these guys have yet to play their senior year and we're likely to sign another 8-10 players.
Safe to say, despite what happens with the almighty stars, this class is comparing pretty favorably to last year's "best post-DP" class. It's nice to finally see some sustained momentum in terms of stockpiling competitive talent.

you know recruiting is on the upswing when our offers have BCS offers and BCS schools trying to talk them out of an SMU commitment...I feel some momentum building. Now let's just make sure to follow last year's 8-5 with AT LEAST that good a season...to make sure we can hold onto some of the higher profile guys.

I've got 9 or 10 recruits without BCS offers. I didn't include Connor Preston since Scout says Colorado offered. Darren Wright is listed as a Northwestern offer when in fact if you investigate you'll see that was Northwestern St. a Division 1AA school-but on the other hand Scout lists him as having an offer from Kentucky

I went off the rivals data and counted 7 (including Wall), which matches the 7 players with BCS offers we had last year.

These SMU oaches have a great eye and are just ahead of the other coaches from the BCS schools.....offers will come...we just need to keep them committed.
