We should be more worried about getting some JUCO CB's.

We have taking 1 JUCO CB every year. Im sure we will take another this year.
If youre refering to our lack of depth, Im sure you know we were hit hard at corner by academic casualties, gamble & mcconico.

I am aware, but regardless of the reason for the lack of depth, it is something we need to address. Admittedly I do not know what the chances are for McConico and Gable coming back next year; however, I don't think it is a good idea to count on them. That's why we need to look for JUCO CB's

ESPN listing Ronnie Ford a juco db from Trinity Valley as committed to the Mustangs, any rumors on this.

Ford is the young man that has committed to us but we have not offered. I believe but am not sure that it a qualifying issue.

I'm confused -- is this a thread on WRs or CBs?
as far as WRs, my take is that JJs system requires the better part of a year (or, longer) for the receivers to assimilate, so a JUCO transfer would not be worth the scholarship , when we have younger guys who are being molded into the position. my thoughts, anyway.

Well, we don't have any WRs in 3 years, save the one that PB recruited.
Hence, my concern.

Jeez
we don't have any GOOD wrs in 3 years of recruiting.
I would think jj would have some of his starters in place. I'm concerned. Who do we have next year. Terrance w cones bak but if we had talent surely they'd be pushing Cole beasely. And I'm not knocking mini Cody Cardwell
I'm not smoking crack am I? We don't have a passing game commensurate with our offensive strategy do we? We have a very good oline, presumably good qb, but we cannot complete passes. I don't see wide open wrs.
I would switch more to chuck witherspood rns if we don't get it going against rice. Cuz we didn't do crap against uab or wsu

I took a look at some of the available JUCO WRs in the rivals database. Almost NONE of them had any offers coming out of HS or were ranked more than 2 stars.
The JUCO guys we need are like the WR transfer from Texas that UH picked up (I cant remember his name but Im sure Stallion does).
An interesting kid I saw was Jhyryn Taylor who is a LSU transfer. He was a 3* athlete coming out of HS, his brother plays safety for LSU and another in the NFL so he has the pedigree. I read he left LSU due to lack of PT. He is currently at Pearl River CC in Miss.

Speaking of wide receivers, have Jeremy Johnson or Der'rick Thompson played this year? If not, are there plans to redshirt them. I prefer redshirting if they are only going to get limited playing time.
