Jesus and Waco are a winning combo apparently.

Drew is Very Very Dirty....

They better be very careful, they have caught the eye of the entire industry...the bviolations reported a couple weeks ago were just a warning shot...

Why do you think Baylor is dirty? What evidence is there to suggest Baylor is not playing by the rules?

Morefield also sent a text to LaLumiere coach Alan Huss, which was obtained by FOXSports.com, saying that if Perea didn’t go to Baylor, he wouldn’t be back in the United States.

"I guarantee u if he does [commit to another school] he will be in Colombia for the spring and summer and next year. Don’t forget it,” the text said.

Based on the threatening message on the text, it sounds like the Baylor program paid for the legal work to get this kid the proper visa to stay in school and they feel some ownership in his right to be in the US--of course, that is a major violation also--the same boosters are still there from the days of Bliss.

Drew's relationship w/D-One Sports is about to go under investigation. First, they hired Dwon Clifton to an ops position, brother of Brian Clifton, head of D-One. That got them in the John Wall sweepstakes and would have worked if not for the national scrutiny of the hire. Then, b/c Wall went elsewhere, Clifton sent Baylor Stargell Love, another D-One PG. Shortly thereafter, Dwon Clifton left Baylor, presumably to take over D-One from his brother, who in the interim left D-One to become one of John walls agents & part of his management team. Now, Baylor gets Deuce Bello and Q Miller from D-One.

Rumors have Perry Jones looking at Clifton to rep him in next years draft etc. Meanwhile, Q Miller is a top 5 talent nationally, originally from Chicago, but no one is recruiting him. Illinois wouldn't look at him from his hometown, and he preps in NC, but all of the Carolina schools dropped him. Louisville even dropped him for fear of investigation.

Meanwhile on the home front, it's widely known that Baylor is deep in Lawrence franks pockets. Franks runs the LBA Seawolves, see Perry Jones/Bakari Turner/ and now the kid that committed in '12.

Memphis dropped Drew during their coaching search b/c of his filthy rep, which says about all you need to know. They are going to get hammered in the next 3 years, and coming off the Dennehy debacle, they deserve the DP.

Just remember USC, what occurs in terms of violations in one revenue sport, occurs in the other (football)--that's the other shoe about to drop.

[Drew] clearly resurrected Baylor from the depths of the Dave Bliss scandals

Only to have them sink back even lower after all this falls out. The timing is not good with conference realignment pending.

When all is said and done, they are going to uncover violations that go deeper than anyone on this board, save for probably PonyDoh and Prof X (and maybe papawasamustang as well), can even imagine.

Loved this quote from the DMN article posted above:

"And I know if we're doing things the wrong way, that will come out," he said. "So as far as I look at all we've accomplished and covered right now, I think Baylor basketball is definitely headed in the right direction."

"If."
