Houston is hanging on to a skant 12 point lead vs. SMU while the next team after SMU is 278 points behind or less than 1/3 of SMU's points.

Houston has 17 3*s and 2 unranked
SMU has 1 4* 12 3* and 4 2* with 2 unranked

Houston only has 1 recruit with a national rank while SMU has 4.

Edit: Hard to keep up, SMU has 1 4*, 13 3*, 4 2* and 1 unranked player. The first paragraph reflects the latest numbers.

Obviously Rivals (and recruits) didn't get the memo that the game has passed Jones by. ZING!

Of course recruits like this make one a much better coach....
I just don't get why Houston recruits so well....their facilities leave a lot to be desired, spotty education, etc.

If you go down Houston's recruit list, it is mainly Houston area kids and a bunch of Juco's. It obviously has found something that works recruiting wise.

Houston adds 2 unrated players, average stars drop for now.

you are way to worried about numbers/ratings on November 19. One of those Jucos has about 7 offers including 3 BCS offers. The other one just got named SWJCFC Defensive Player of the Week with some gaudy stats. They'll get rated and probably will be 3 stars. JUCOs usually are.

I would bet that alot of these kids are considering UH because of this "education"

More likely it is the fact they get a lot of kids from in the Houston area who want to stay close to home.

The thing to be excited about is JJ is getting kids who fit this system.
