he runs a legitimate 4.35. What's not to like. Watch his videos-he can fly. I just hope he qualifies. He seems to be a good student-taking the SAT again but could use a higher score to make sure.

Watch him accelerate in his video-don't need a stopwatch or recruiting ranking to know that this kid is one of the fastest athletes in the country.

Bennie Thomas looks more like 5'7". You don't want many guys that short but there's always room for a special kid who's 5'9"

looks good; I like the way he wraps guys up in the open field and blasts them near the sidelines

Fast don't lie. There is a lot to like about his speed and hitting. His video lists him at 5'11, so he is probably a legit 5'9.

Welcome to SMU James, you made a good choice.

awesome speed. would love to have some taller CB's.
Would he play another position or stick at CB?

He doesn't shy away from contact like so many other CBs. A CB that actually wraps up is a great luxury to have. He seems to have very good field vision, that is something that can't really be taught.

Sterling Moore measured 5"9.5' at SMU NFL Camp. Tall is great but there aren't enough good tall CBs to go around. Speed and quickness at CB are actually more essential

True. At this point in our progression, we have to trust that JJ & Co. are able to find the hidden gems - in this case guys that may be a little undersized, with track speed, and can play "bigger" than their height.
