SMU Mustangs sign Austin's Manuel

Austin's 6-foot, 5-inch guard Ryan Manuel has committed to SMU.
SMU coach Matt Doherty compared Manuel's skill set being similar to a Boston Celtics All-Star on the school website, "Ryan is a 6-4 Rajon
Rhondo type guard," Doherty said. "He has great speed with the ball and can really see the floor. I am excited about his ability to push the ball. Ryan will add size, speed and quickness to our backcourt, which are all good qualities!"
Manuel put-up 38 points against MacArthur earlier this season and is averaging an astounding 28.8 points per game.
He is a McDonald's All-American nominee and is rated among the top 20 recruits from Texas by several recruiting services.
Manuel averaged more than 19 points last season and was selected to the first-team all-district and named Bulldogs' MVP by teammates.
