Excellent Recruiting class But...

it sure seems to me, with our present situation at CB, we are in need of taking more than two true freshmen cornerbacks in this class. We only have one returning starter who is still learning the D and no proven depth at all. I would take three more if there is still anymore talent left to be had. When Moore got hurt during the season our lack of depth at CB cost us at least two games. UTEP for sure.

Yeah, we need at least 2 JUCO corners for the 2011 class, if we go into 2011 with any less than that then we won't be going bowling next season.

of course, we seem to sign a bunch of second term JUCOs (usually non qualifiers out of high school that have to graduate) so they may not sign until say May 2011. It sure would be nice to get some for Spring practice though-because there is still a big transition from JUCO ball.

Any chance that one of the CBs that didn't make their grades last spring can come back fall 2011 ? Both of those guys could have played in 2010 and their possible return would be huge for our team next year.

Extreme Over reaction, we will go bowling next year regardless of who we add. 1) crawford has improved every week he has played so if he continues to improve we will be ok on his half 2) June has mentioned numerous times that he is getting impressed by the younge corners in practice, it takes time to become a D-1 football player but it is happening for these guys. 3) A pass rush hides bad corner play can't wait to see Hunt, and Davis for their junior years, as well as Thompson. 4) with NW State, Navy, Tulane, Memphis, Rice, on the scheduel (all likely at home) I dare say we can find one more win in the season somewhere to get us back to the bowl ( I like us beating UTEP at home, Tulsa, Southern Miss, and UCF) not to mention we could easily pick off TCU early in the year sense they are replacing so much personel and the Aggies always manage to lose games they should win handily. Trust me Next year is looking sweet

I've no reason to contradict what June says, but come on, June is 100% coach speak. His statements are meaningless. We could have a whole crop of Bennie Thomases and June would still say they remind him of Deion Sanders.

We have no idea how good or bad next year's corners are.

i'd like to see parks put on a few pounds. he showed some potential. can't have too many 6 foot+ corners.

OT some, but I remember HOFer Herb Adderley who played at Green Bay and Dallas. The WIKI says he was 6-0 and 205 # and both of those numbers are different than I remember in the pro programs when he was active. I don't know how he measured at MSU. Still, it would be nice to some day see some comparable SMU corners.
