Conner Preston: Padron is not quaking in his boots

I was surprised to see no mention of the California state championship game in this forum, since it was on Time Warner.

Based on this one game only, Preston looked short, he was inaccurate, and did not show a particularly strong arm.

He was not one of the top 5 players on the field in this game.

On the positive side, he showed he's good at catching bad shotgun snaps, which is a must to play QB at SMU.

The game was on Direct TV and was played in the rain, which affected the passing game. Conner is 6'2, which I do not consider "short" for a college QB. He had a great HS career and I do not believe you can judge him by this one game.

No matter how tall he is, the coaches have seen him multiple times in person. They weren't worried about his height so I'm not either.

have never seen the kid in person, but I found his height on the internet so it must be accurate. :)

if it' on the internet it's got to be true.

people said Drew Brees was to short to be a QB too. same for Doug Flutie.

And Hey! Let's not overlook that great Mustang INEZ PEREZ! All 5'8" of him!

I knew Inez when he played for SMU and he was much closer to 5' 5" than 5' 8".
