Could YOU Qualify Under the NCAA Clearinghouse?

Cool little tool I found on the internet to determine if you qualify under the NCAA Clearinghouse. The sliding scale can be kind of confusing and intimidating. This tool lets you fill in your core grades and it tells you the composite ACT you need. Example: a kid that scrapes through with a 2.0-I filled in straight Cs on all 32 classes which I realize is not likely but it shows by example that a kid would need a 22 Composite ACT. Might come in handy for a prospective athlete out there.

Here's a more likely borderline kid who makes a 2.25 GPA-in others words 3/4th of his grades are C and 1/4th are B. He would need to score a 19 on the ACT

Or more likely I bet-a kid who was a bad test taker-and had borderline grades-say a 2.5 (half Bs and C)-he could qualify with a 17 composite SAT.
