With the crazy sanctions we slapped on ourselves last year, does anyone know how many scholarships we'll be able to give this year?

I hope we don't give scholarships to spare players who were walk-ons but have "worked really hard and deserve the scholarship." We need as much new talent as possible. The more talent there is, the more competition for jobs there is, which means better play as the players compete for playing time.

As I understand it, we can give 25 scholarships a year, and we lost four last year and this year in wake of the self-imposed sanctions.

So unless I failed math, that means we can sign 21, right?

That, of course, depends on whether we hold scholarships to award to a walk-on who earns his free ride.
