SMU recruiting...What are we doing? PANIC!!

The summer has started. Football begins Labor Day weekend. You would think that this would be the time for people to relax and just chill about things on The Hilltop. The football program appears to be making modest progress with back-to-back bowl appeances and playing in the 2010 CUSA championship game.
It seems to be getting there, doesn't it?
Forget it.
Fear, anxiety, depression, anger and frustration are the emotions running wild these days. Recruiting has gone to heck in a hand basket. So we thought it would be best to sum up those concerns!
1. SMU should have been offering those 2012 recruits as soon as June Jones got here in 2008. We are soooooooo far behind.
2. All we have are assistant coaches running around collecting paychecks and waiting to join AARP.
3. I don't care if California and Florida are two of the most fertile recruiting states in the country, these players we're going after out there are not very good because they don't play in Texas and I don't know who they are.
4. Adrian Klemm needs to be promoted to head coach. Fire June now!
5. It really doesn't count that SMU has offered these Texas kids at this point. Even though they haven't made a decision, they won't pick us anyway.
6. Camps, schmamps. Waste of time.
7. Our recruiting really should be determined by us consistently beating out Texas, Oklahoma and LSU for the top players. It really doesn't matter that we're not a BCS school. That 15-13 record over the last 2 years should be enough proof that we've arrived.
8. I hope we never host the NFC champion again. When those knuckleheads showed up, it backed up the Ford turf replacement, backed up spring football and backed up our coaches getting out there to recruit. Screw you, NFL.
9. Why did we hire a new special teams coach anyway? Special teams should be divided amongst the coaches.
10. The only thing I can go off is my own narrow minded opinion based on the limited amount of information I have. Still, I work at SMU and I can tell you these guys are awful recruiters because I know their strategy inside and out. And yet I'm going on a message board trashing them.
11. I'm in the business of borrowing trouble.
12. If you don't play high school football in Texas, it doesn't matter.
13. Is SMU even in Texas?
