I've been told (and Lone Star Recruiting also is reporting) that Thrweat has changed his commitment from SMU to Texas Tech. Says he wants to be closer to home and thinks there are things in Dallas that could "distract" him.

This from the same kid who was quoted as saying there's a lot more to do in Dallas than in Lubbock or College Station - and he was right. This is his loss, if he stays with his Tech commitment.

Are we still in the running for Tulsa DT Aaron Rooney? The kid is a solid player and would look great in Red & Blue.

Is Thwreat an OL or DL? Sounds like we really need him, and can we send the NCAA to Tech to find out what they gave him? Or are they just going to punish SMU with their rules and regulations discrimination?
