With the Class of 2001 firmly in place, the minds of recruitniks now begin to look toward the Class of 2002. We have already got a jump start with a look at some of the Austin Area's top junior prospects. The list is not complete and we still have yet to get all of the photos up, but it does give you some new names to familiarize yourself:

Out of the guys on your list, Fox 7, here are the guys I want to see in red and blue!
Maurice Bouldwin
LaGrange HS TE/DE/LB
6'4" 230 lbs
Looks like he has versatility, playing that many positions, and at 6-4, he can add some serious size and strength.
Michael Cuba
Taylor HS DB
6'3" 180 lbs 4.45 in 40
A DB who's that tall and can run like that will be pursued by every program in the country. I know Texas likes him, as does A&M. Get in on him NOW.
Chad Jorgenson
San Marcos Baptist Academy TE
6'6" 210 lbs 4.7 in 40
A candidate to try another position if he can bulk up. With his quickness, imagine him adding 30 pounds and coming off the corner as a 6-foot-6 pass-rushing DE. Beautiful.
Craig Kuhrt
Bastrop HS TE
6'7" 250 lbs 5.0 in 40
Not as quick as Jorgenson, but he has excellent hands and would make a nice heir apparent to Michael Brown and John Hampton. A 6-7 tight end answers the offensive answers in short-yardage situations. Lob a jump ball up there and let him go get it.
Quinton Smith
Cedar Park HS RB
4.3 in 40 as Soph
A 4.3-second 40 -- enough said. Imagine opposing defensive coordinators having heart attacks if we bang away with Kris Briggs and then bring this kid in. He's in the Johnnie Freeman/Kevin Garrett/Trey Griffin speed range. Sign him and then figure out where to play him.

The above players look good but, yea but, WE NEED BIG MEN.
We need three or four 280 plus d-linemen and three more o-lnemen.
Did you see the size on the three o-linemen that we got this year?
305
295
and a center at 6-3 275 in high school.
Go Mustangs
