Anyone seen this kid play? DMN has him as the highest State prospect interested in SMU and would be a big pickup for SMU. Any chance we land this kid or his he bound elsewhere?

I have seen him play, and while I haven't talked to him personally, I hear that he is very high on SMU, and that there's at least a 50-50 chance he ends up on the Hilltop next year. He's a private school kid who is very interested in a top education, and academics are equally or more important to him than football. He loves the game and has a lot of talent, but education will be important in his decision. He has good size and speed and excellent hands for a big man. Would be a very strong signing for SMU.

Exactly when and where did you see him play?

he's listed as a Hillcrest kid, meaning he's playing right down the street and certainly playing at SMU would be like playing at home for him. Would love to see him make the decision to stay home and hope we can get more to do the same. Is he academically qualified and already offered?

For what it is worth, there are a number of reports on th internet that he has committed to A&M.

DMN today reports that Germany has orally committed to the Aggies. Ouch!
