Dallas Morning News is right: Likio is committed to SMU

It's a nice change to have this many verbal "commitments" this early in the year. Looks like the "loosening up" of the restrictions is helping. Hope they all hang in there with us.

The DMN also reported earlier this fall that Taylor Schuster, OT, Mission Sharyland committed. He is 6-5 260 and State Top 100. Also Hulsey Smith, OT, 6-5 260, from Nashville committed last year and will enroll this Jan and will count against next years scholarships. That makes 8 commitments for this year, nearly all are linemen.

Ya, I heard that Hulsey Smith was in school... lifting with the team... sounds like a good situation for him and the school.

Hulsey Smith is currently in school for academics, he is a Gray Shirt from last year.
Not sure if he is lifting with the team but he is lifting & working out, he's looking good. Hulsey has the opportunity to meeting his team mates and study with out the added pressures to which most Frosh Student Athlete's encounter.

I have yet to get a confirmation that Taylor Schuster is committed, and the Oct. 21 Morning News also has him still considering five schools: SMU, DUke, Colorado, Oklahoma and Texas A&M.

Taylor Schuster may have withdrawn his commitment, but the DMN reported his commitment to SMU earlier this year. I believe it was just before or just after they reported Dustin Morton's commitment. I rembember this because I had trouble finding Sharyland HS after the announcement. I also note that the DMN Bobby Burton recruiting section also shows that he is interested in several schools. But they did, in fact, report that Schuster orally committed just like it was reported that Kelvin Cox, CB, Garland Naaman Forest, orally committed today. That makes nine commitments by my count including Schuster. 4DL, 2CB, 1TE, 2OL. Plus we have one OL, Huslsey Smith, Nasville, who committed last year and will enroll in Jan and count against this year's scholarship. I would say that recruiting has improved.

Kelvin Cox was reportedly recruited by Baylor, Tech and Houston. Anybody know who was recruiting some of the other commits like Likio?
