We just talked to the coach at San Marcos Baptist Academy this afternoon, and he told me that the SMU staff is one of a number of schools who have starting chasing his 6' 7" receiver, Josh Smith. Josh is having a huge breakout season as a senior. Much like Trey Griffin last fall, since he didn't have any pub heading into the fall, it is taking coaches awhile to recognize his skills.

We are in the process of adding him to our Austin Area Prospects site. We'll keep you posted if he receives an offer from the Ponies.

6-foot-7? Sounds like Harold Carmichael of the Eagles 20 years ago. Think what we could do to teams with him and Jay Taylor on the outside. There isn't a team out there with TWO cornerbacks big enough to cover those two. (And Freeman and Comet, etc, running the inside routes.)
