New FB Commitment
Posted: Sun Jan 20, 2002 9:54 pmMax Emfinger is now reporting that Brent Karrington, 6'3" D.E. from Highland Park, has just commited to the Mustangs. Emfinger calls Karrington one of the top defensive ends in Texas.

Karrington's a good player, from what I've read, but I'll feel better when someone with more credibility than Max Nepotism touts his greatness.

Posted: Mon Jan 21, 2002 5:52 amI don't know if he committed, but he was at the university the same weekend my son was. Brent had to leave to play in the all-star game, but came back. He was my son's roommate. His parents were very impressed with SMU, and Brent bonded a lot with the other recruits. He was pretty flattered with the jersey and locker with his name on it.
