Everyone take a deep breath
Posted: Wed Jan 23, 2002 5:08 pmAnd relax about this year's recruiting class. Have faith in Coach Bennett. As I recall from when I lived there, Coach Cavan also had a hard time assembling a class when he got hired in December, and regardless of what we think about his coaching, he was able to bring in some talent in subsequent years. Coach Bennett has a proven track record as a standout recruiter from his days at A&M, Oklahoma and of course Kansas State. There's no reason to believe he won't be at SMU, as well. He won't get every kid he wants this year, but he will assemble a solid class, and his classes will only get better in future years.
