What happened to R. Cherry, the Plano East (I think) defensive tackle?

Reported on the other board he went to ASU - and that ain't Arizona State. Apparently none of his other Div I schools came through. Also reported he has grade and test score problems. Seems he just didn't fit into Bennet's scheme of things. Sounds now like it was Bennet's choice - not Cherry's.

Marcus Walker (2001 signee) will be a much better DT than Cherry ever would have. Walker is pretty chiseled, and has added a ton of strength since last year. Watch out for him this year.

Please note that Cherry has lost a lot of weight, according to the AC press release - no longer the 300 pounder!
