Who is the running back
Posted: Wed Apr 10, 2002 11:51 amat Jesuit that is going to be a senior next year? I heard that SMU has sent letters to this guy. I think his father played for Notre Dame but could be wrong about that.
Jesuit's top RB and top Div. I-A prospect is John Wall (5-11, 185, 4.52), a junior in 2001 who rushed for 1,500+ yards, 17 TD's, and a 9.8 average against great competition and in just 9 games. SMU has not actively recruited him, but he has had tape sent to the SMU coaches. He's already qualified academically, and reportedly has Stanford, Northwestern, Notre Dame and Boston College on his wish list. (Former teammate Omar Jenkins is a WR - probably a starter - at Notre Dame). Wall has not yet received college scholarship offers, but it is believed he will receive several.
