I counted more than 20 kids on the sideline before the game with nametags, indicating they were recruits. Anyone know who they were?

Stephen Hodge of Lake Highlands was one of them. See the comments in the "day of ups & downs" on the home page. Hodge is a DB listed on the top 100 lists in the Sunday DMN. That DFW area top 100 list has a lot of guys who are at least showing interest in SMU. Let's hope Bennett and his staff can sell this program. The only good thing about Saturday night was that those recruits should realize there's a chance to come in here and play immediately.

Stephen Hodge is a hell of a player. He is one recruit who could come in and play immediately.

I saw one kid who had to be a lineman, and he was huge. Maybe 6-5 or 6-6, and he had to be 320 pounds, at least. Anyone know who he was?

Last time I talked to Hodge, he had offers from three schools:

UCLA
Boston College
West Virginia

That was a little over a week before the SMU/Navy game.
