Cedric Cofer is a must-sign prospect. With Lute Croy graduating, we're going to be thin at DT. Croy and Adami have been sensational this year, but we can't expect to go through a season expecting our interior linemen to escape without injuries. Cofer has to remain in Dallas.
I was under the impression that Carruthers no longer is considering SMU.
Allen Pollard is a beast. He uses every ounce of that size as a terrific blocker, and he could pair up with Ryan Kennedy to give the Ponies a stellar pair of tight ends.
Adrian Turner is a player, a very good player. He's like a Jamey Harper - he'll force the coaches to find a way to get him on the field.
Brigham Rowe doesn't face great competition every week, but he's just now growing into his size. When he transfers some babyfat into muscle, he'll be a sight to behold. And again, we're going to have a serious need for big linemen.
Reid Bowie has a good frame and excellent technique. He doesn't have Garrett speed, but who does? He can play, and would be a nice addition to our secondary depth.
Patrick Wu, when he gets in his stance, can not be moved. He is a picture-perfect guard prospect. He has extremely powerful thighs and backside, and stays low throughout a play. The guy is a roadgrader who blasts open lanes.
Chase Ellis can really run. He looks a little like Keith Mitchell, who used to play at A&M.

Considering the number of talented running backs we have, including Massey, I think Aaron Shanor should be an invited walk-on. He's good, but not great.

Ellis has us in the running, with Oklahoma and A&M? Either he has a huge opinion of himself, or he might be a really good player. Has anyone seen him play?

I've never seen these guys play, of course, but if those linemen are good, I'd say sign them all. Every team can use more big guys. I've read a lot about Cofer, so I guess he's the real deal.

I'd say we should try to get all the linemen on that list, and also add the three linebackers from Arlington. We're losing Vic Viloria, Justin Williams, D.D. Johnson, Billy Jack Williams - we need several LBs.
Has Billy Jack played at all this year?

Not so fast my friends! I've seen Patrick Wu play a few times this year, and he's not 315 pounds. Not sure if that 6-2 height listing is legitimate, but I'd guess he's more in the 270-pound range. If he's carrying around 315 pounds, it's hard to tell where. He's a pretty solid blocker, technique-wise, especially as a run-blocker, but there's no way he's over 300 pounds.
