Thanks, Grapevine, it sounds like you do a lot of research. Appreciate the information.

I don't know any of those players, of course, but it seems to me Jeff Brashear isn't that promising. A 330-pound lineman who only benches 320 and squats 385? Compare those numbers to the numbers Devorias Jackson is putting up in the weight room, and it sounds like Brashear is a long way away from being able to compete against college defensive linemen. Chuck Faucette would have his work cut out for him with this guy. And does that really say 5.8 in the 40? That's pathetic. I'd bet most of the PonyFans on this board can run a 5.8. Coach Bennett says he doesn't like fat guys on the line, preferring guys who can move, and if they're big, that's nice too. This guy clearly can not move at all, and he doesn't sound like he's that strong. I say stay away from him - there are a lot of better prospects out there.

Speaking of appealing linemen prospects, Julius Orieukwu of Houston Bellaire is destroying people every week. He's also getting bigger: the papers down here now list him at 6-7, instead of 6-6, and he's supposedly gone up from 255 to 265 - and getting bigger. Sure would like to see him become a Mustang!
