SMU recruiting another RB

Dallas Sunset RB Chris Parker (6-0, 180, 4.55) is getting a lot of attention from SMU coaches. I don't know whether we'll offer him a scholarship, but they certainly are interested in him. Maybe an invited walk-on?

ANOTHER running back?

Next year we're going to have Keylon Kincade, ShanDerrick Charles, Anthony Barnett and Richuel Massey at tailback, and Derron Brown and Earl Morris at fullback, in addition to whatever walk-ons are lurking on the roster. Do we really want to burn another scholarship? There's only one ball that they have to share. It seems to me there are other needs that need to be filled, first.

I was told by a very reliable source that next year's RB situation is not what we all think. Of course, how it's different was not explained to me. But there will be changes. Kincade, we all assume, is the #1 guy entering next year. And with his injury, we have to assume that Massey will redshirt his freshman season. So that leaves ShanD and Anthony Barnett coming back. There will be at least one player moving from another position to the offensive backfield, where he will play tailback, and word is that he's exceptionally qualified for the job, even though he's playing another position right now. But again, his identity was not revealed to me. Yet.

There was also talk at the time of his recruiting that Barnett was going to be looked at wideout and DB.
