Richuel Massey

Postby PK » Tue Nov 12, 2002 1:30 pm

Stallion has posted on the other board that Richuel Massey evidently has sustained a broken leg and is out for the rest of the season. No information was available as to how bad the break is or any prognosis on recover time. Hope for his sake it is not a major thing and that he heals quickly. I would think that by next summer he should be OK for sure, but his conditioning might be off some. He most probably was going to be red shirted anyway so that shouldn't be a problem.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

That's terrible news. Thankfully, he does have two years, essentially, to get better, because we're loaded at running back with Keylon Kincade, ShanDerrick Charles and Anthony Barnett.
Hopefully he'll be up and running soon.

I have heard Massey's injury is actually to his foot. It should be fine in time and SMU will certainly keep its' commitment to him. He has been getting deserved attention from other schools but is solid in the Mustangs court.

Do you know any more, like which bone broke? Was it a hairline fracture or a clean break?
What a shame. Here's hoping for a full recovery.

Does he play other sports (when healthy) for Hillsboro?
