This guy is impressive. He doesn't have a list of favorites, and I don't know who he likes the most, but he has been in touch with SMU. Sounds like a perfect candidate for the d-line!

Mike Montgomery
6-7, 275, 4.8
Defensive End
High School: Center (Texas) HS
Junior College: Navarro College

Montgomery (6-7, 270, 4.8) of Navarro College, Texas is one of the most dominating defensive ends in the Junior College ranks this year. He us originally from Center, Texas and he was also very dominating in High School. With his size, speed, and savvy, Montgomery will be one of the most heavily recruited players in the Texas JUCO League.

Here's another Texas JUCO who hasn't announced his leaders yet:

Jarrod Manoy

Recruited as: Running back
Junior College: Trinity Valley

Manoy (5-11, 235, 4.5) of Trinity Valley College, Texas is one of the top returning junior college running backs in the country. He rushed for 882 yards and seven touchdowns as a freshman and was the third leading ground gainer in the SW Junior College Football Conference last season. He will be one of the most heavily recruited players in the Texas JUCO ranks.

Thanks for the information - good to see someone can find some info on the JUCO candidates. I don't know if any of those guys will end up in Dallas. Based on their physical attributes alone, I'd love to see the Ponies grab all three. The only problem is that I bet there are a lot of coaches out there who feel the same way and will make a full-force effort to get them, also.

6-7, 275, 4.8? Those are amazing numbers. If Montgomery's really that big and fast, it doesn't matter if he's never taken a snap. That's a guy who has the body and can be taught. And it sounds like he can already play, too.

And I like Manoy's numbers, too. 235, 4.5? I'd hate to be a safety and see him and Massey lined up together in the backfield - 2 heavy guys with speed.
