Rivals says DeLay chose us over Arkansas, Memphis, Oklahoma State, West Virginia and Louisiana Tech. Way to go coaches!

I also found a report that said DeLay's already 255 or 260. Hope it's true.

I see Fred Turner listed as running a 4.5 40-yd., not 4.3. I think if he really ran a 4.3, that would make headlines.

Also, is he projected as a CB or an RB?

Everything I've seen has him as a 4.3.
He and Ervin McGee are supposed to be burners.

Whew!!

That'll be fun to watch... Assuming of course, he doesn't just look like an 80-yd. blur.

I've seen Fred Turner play a lot of times. I'm no coach, and I confess I've never taken a stopwatch to a game. But I've never seen Fred get caught from behind. When he gets a step on a guy, he's gone. He's as fast a runner as I've ever seen.

Anthony Barnett is another guy who runs a 4.3 40 and he's now had a year in the strength & conditioning program. We have a number of guys who have run 4.4, so team speed is on the rise, no question about that. What I like to see is that we are getting some big guys in here that can move, also. Lucj DeLay is reported to be anywhere from 240-260 lbs and runs that 40 under 4.8? Do we have any other linemen with that kind of speed?

Melvin Williams and Don Ieremia-Stansbury both can run that fast - but they're not as big as DeLay.

We do have one other guy with that kind of quickness: Desmond Jones. And he's in the 260-270 range.

How long until the freshmen report for 2-a-days?
