Lewis Baker, a Super Prospect linebacker from Lewisville-Hebron, Tex., has picked the Oklahoma Sooners over Notre Dame. He earlier decommitted from Texas. Among many others were Arkansas, Georgia Tech, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt (ESPN Chat).

That's a shame - he's a flier. Now we really need to lock up Chase Ellis of Arlington Martin, or at least Nick Moore of Arlington High. I'd prefer Ellis.

Man, I was hoping that somehow we'd get Baker. I knew it was a longshot, but he sure would look nice in Pony colors. Sorry to see him head north of the Red River.

Don't discount the chance of SMU landing Euless (Trinity HS) LB Nasio Toutai. He's kind of short (6'0") for a linebacker, but he's strong (217 pounds) and fast (4.6 in the 40), and he has great instincts - he's always around the ball. He could be a nice speed OLB, or even drop back and play some safety.

He says he has SMU first, followed by TCU and Texas. I don't think he's been offered yet.
