I hear we've got quite a group visiting that weekend. Some of our most promising verbals along with some guys on our "wish list". Hope Randy Denman can influence Kharlake Martin, Meeks & Turner can influence Gatewood and Sturdivant will decide to follow in Dad's footsteps.
Anyone know who else is in that weekend? Is Cedric Cofer or any of our DL hopefuls planning to visit that weekend?

"Buddha" says we'll have Joey Sturdivant, Kharylake Martin, Tyrell Gatewood, Joel Armstrong, Darius Ingram and Avery Cleveland all on campus that weekend, which would be the kind of weekend that could change this class from very good to exceptional, if we can land several of those players. Hopefully Cedric Cofer will be there, too. Seeing players of that caliber seriously considering SMU can only help when trying to convince some of these guys to sign with the Ponies!

That is going to be a HUGE weekend for this program. I am VERY impressed that we are getting the star of these stars, Gatewood, to even make a visit. A few of my UT and A&M friends tell me that both schools have him as a top priority. We are battling the big boys here. This guy is a B Hop quality recruit. If we somehow landed him it would make major waves. I think the fact that he is giving us a visit says a lot.

Not to be a downer, but I think it's an extreme longshot that we get Gatewood, as much as we'd all like to have him. Therefore, those other 5 non-committed guys you list become even more important. The linebackers, especially, would be great additions.

I've always thought Gatewood was a longshot. I would love to see us pickup Darius Ingram and Avery Cleveland. I'm really pulling for Joey Armstrong and Sturdivant as well.
