I heard that we are trying to recruit a 4star safety i believe from georgia whose father played at smu in the late 70's... i hear that he really wants to go to fsu but is a lil low on their list and if they don't offer him a ride then he will follow his father's footsteps... what a catch he will be for bennett... when was the last time we got a recruit like that?

his name is joe sturdivant...he's a 3 star recruit according to rivals. i believe he's actually pursuing georgia tech, but is high on our list as well. he'll be visitng on jan 10th along with many other high profile recruits.

Let's hope Sturdivant decides to follow in his father's footsteps at SMU. With the troubles we had at the safety position last year, he just might be able to come in and earn playing time right away.

So do we have a list of the guys who are coming in this weekend along with Sturdivant?
And next weekend? Gatewood is supposed to be on the docket for 1/11-12. Who else?

no official visitis this week end. First week end is 1-10 thru 1-12.

I thought someone had posted on this board something from Rivals or Insiders or somewhere that said Sturdivant had moved his visit up from 1/10 to 1/3. Not true?
No visits allowed this weekend, or just none scheduled?
