Posted: Mon Jan 06, 2003 12:10 am....is Byrd really getting offers from Top Teams? I haven't really been able to detect that he is getting big-time offers. I seriously doubt that UT and A&M have any intention of offering Byrd with their few remaining scholarships.

I don't find anything to indicate scholarship offers from UT or aNm, but one newspaper reported that he took unofficial visits to both schools, and was well received. If aNm loses Gatewood (to UT, perhaps?), maybe Franocchio goes after Byrd? At the beginning of the season, he was getting big-time press. How did he do this year at Marcus?
