Funny about an Aggie commit

A friend sent this to me - not sure where he got it.
Linebacker TaTa Thompson of Garland hopes to make a name for himself at Texas
A&M. And it's not Tah-Tah.
"Yeah, they get it wrong on the radio and at the games," Thompson's mother
told former Trib sportswriter Luke Gilliam. Her son's given name is Taqualon,
but a relative called him "Tay-Tay" as a child and it stuck.
The 6-4, 225-pound blue-chipper said he's used to the mispronunciations, "but
sometimes I think, 'Does anyone really think my mom would name me something
stupid like Tah-Tah?' "
-------
Right. Because Taqualon is such a normal name.
