This is terrific news! I've seen him play, and he's every bit as good as people are saying he is. He might be the best player in this year's class. (I know, only time will tell.) Keeping Massey in the fold is vital.

I'm not getting excited until after signing day - these guys will be getting more pressure as the recruting season wears on and some people get desperate to fill holes - they will look at our good class as vulnerable, just because of our record - I think the recruits will stick because SMU is clearly on the rise and they know they are part of a special class, but it ain't over till its over. By the way - surely we will be tarying to land a starting kicker for next year?

Leave McMurtray as the starting PK. With the way he was yanked around last year, it's no wonder if his confidence slipped. Let him prove whether or not he can do the job. He never had a chance last year to find his rhythm.

If he falters, sign a kicker next year.
