Defensive tackles - again

There's been a lot of talk about whether we need Cedric Cofer, and whether we go after Oklahomans Jared Naylor and Ben Mitchell (my personal choice) if Cofer doesn't work out.

What about Kendrick Pride? He's 6'3", 350-ish and has played both defensive tackle and offensive line at Dallas Skyline HS. He might not be as quick as some other prospects, but if nothing else, he sure would clog the middle of the line. I imagine that even if he's not in terrific shape, he'd be awfully hard to move. Maybe plug him in the middle with Adami, let him work all year on conditioning, recruirt a couple more DTs (or move offensive linemen over?) and then redshirt Pride next year?

I'm not sure if Pride or Mitchell are getting strongly recruited by Division 1 Teams. They might be but I haven't seen ANY updates on them. I have a feeling a lot of you guys are relying on info you see in the DMN Area Top 100 Lists and especially those not covered by Rivals. First of all Area Top 100 Kids get you 4th place in the WAC. Many of those kids are mediocre prospects especially at the bottom of those lists. A lot of that info is terribly outdated and inaccurate to where a lot of it is useless. That's why any list made in October is inaccurate unless it is modified by the actual interest a player gets in December, January and February.
