This was originally going to be our big weekend on campus, right?
Now it looks like two top prospects who were coming in (Ingram and Gatewood) have committed elsewhere and may not come down on their visit. Berryman may not be interested anymore... and Scroggins is coming but just committed to MINN.
I think even without the big weekend, we have still done much better than past years and have a top 50 recruiting class. I was just getting my hopes up a bit .
Who is still coming in this weekend?
Right now it looks like:
- Joel Armstrong (QB)
- Scroggins (WR - committed to MINN)
- Kharylake Martin
- Avery Cleveland
- Joe Sturdivant
Guys coming in who already comitted to SMU:
- Cory Muse
- CD Moss
- Jordan Newman

Will he play QB at SMU or another position. He sounds like a great kid.

I've been under the impression that Meeks is coming this weekend also. Can anyone confirm? I think it's really critical to have as many of our solid commitments on campus this weekend to help close the deal with the remaining recruits.

I can't absolutely confirm that, but it's been my understanding for a long time that he'd be in this weekend.

I believe Meeks and Bryan Turner, and maybe Chris Phillips, will also be there to help close deals!

What's the weather in Dallas this weekend? Hopefully it will be unseasonably warm so the co-eds will be flaunting those open midrifts. Nothing else gets a recruit's attention better than that. Perhaps that fellow who committed to Minnesota will think about warm weather and belly shirts vs. cold weather and parkas.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

Good idea, East Stang. But it's supposed to cool off - high in the low 40s Saturday, not sure about Sunday.

It's rush week...you aint meeting no women this weekend if you're still in high school. It doesn't matter how fast you run the 40.
LOL

It's not the Pig Run...it's the "Brisk Walk"
Jill K: Gosh, you guys are soooo meeeean. That's, like, so, like, uh, offensive, uh, to women and all. And stop throwing things at us too!

Actually, no. I will not be anywhere near there. I think that's an activity for students, which I am no longer.
I have a great story about this topic though:
A former student and great man named G once strolled into the office of a certain sorority advisor named J. While J was explaining the reasoning behind the name change from "Pig Run" to "Brisk Walk" (Something to do with vegans and feminism and the Democratic party or something like that) when G chimes in with: "You know, instead of calling it the Brisk Walk, why not just call it the Ho Train?
I do not believe G was allowed in the near vicinity of J's office for the remainder of his undergraduate years.

I can confirm that Meeks will be in this weekend. I don't know about Phillips, but B. Turner will not be in until next week.

Can Kharylake Martin play? Is he just a big guy, or can he actually move his feet? Anyone know whether he has any strength, or just a huge body?

Accroding to his coach, Martin isn't fat, he's just a huge kid.
He runs a 5.5 40, which isn't exactly fast, but at 345, that's a load.
