Why haven't I read anything on the board recently about Highland Park Defensive Tackle Charlie Berry? He generated a little buzz a few months ago but has since gone unmentioned. I happen to know he still is very much considering SMU, and has an official visit scheduled for the end of this month. He is currently listed at 6'3", 250 lbs., 4.8 40. He is working out at fast twitch about 4 times a week in order to get his 40 time down and is willing to put on weight if necessary to play DT in college. He would currently make a great big DE or fast DT. He is a hard worker, a team leader, and could be a real steal. If we could get him, I know we wouldn't regret it.

JUST A GUESS here, but maybe the coaches are waiting to see the results of the fast-twitch work he's done -- which is hard to do since they're not allowed to work kids out now. Any likelihood in that idea? Or am I way off?
