I am both a big fan of both SMU and Oregon, but Lewis would be silly to go to Oregon. They are LOADED at RB and already signed the best RB on the west coast for 2012 and a 5 star RB for 2013. They also have a ton of talent at WR, so switching positions wouldn't do much.
I think he is a fool if he picks WSU also. Leach knows how to win, but he's an [deleted] and Pullman is a crap town.
Hopefully our guys can help him make the right choice.

maybe he's concerned about having to compete against Daijuan?

I'd take Lewis over Daijuan. Great players are hungry for competition. If he doesn't want to compete with other good players, then maybe he isn't the best guy to have.
I hope we get them both

Lewis at one slot and Daijuan at the other slot. At some point maybe 2 years down the road they could both start since there are 2 slots available.

Agreed! There should be several 4 stars salivating for that spot each recruiting class - it's the moneymaker position in this offense no doubt.

Forget California, focus on Texas.

I wonder if was really there at all? No question a number of West Coast schools were trying to kill it. But, you don't lose recruits over on assistant line coach, that was extremely likeable, but a green coach. If they really were committed to the school, to the program, to Dallas, and our coaching staff they wouldn't have de-committed. I wonder if Klemm was still here the same thing would not have happened?
Coupled with the inability of Klemm's recruits to even get into school was he really the recruiter we thought?

Good point, Mexmustang. Give me Phillips and his recruits and his coaching abillity.
Lewis is tiny, and I'm told was a longshot all along. Good luck at Washington State, or wherever he ends up.
