Maybe Moreland is waiting to see if he gets another offer (Oregon St.) ? Or maybe he did not meet NCAA requirements and has to go to a Junior College ? One thing for sure, we should all know real soon as the spring semester is almost upon us.

I'm surprised the pay sites do not have more information on these things.

Both sites are trying to contact Moreland and Holloway but neither are returning calls.

I think Moreland and Holloway always have been kind of hard to contact.

Sorry I don't know the background but what's the story with these two?

Didn't qualify in 2011. Trying to qualify. AK recruits. Both want to play football in Jan. We can't get in touch with them. Classes start soon.
Got it. That's a shame since I do remember they were high-quality recruits that then never hit the field this year. What do they need to qualify?

Moreland needed a qualifying SAT.

Thanks. If he wants to play football here or for another D1 program, he will need that. It sounds like if we lose him then he likely won't be playing football for a D1 program. Of course, he could go the Juco route which would be a loss to us. I can't imagine a qualifying SAT must be that high.

Oregon State also wants both of them form my understanding. So if they qualify they can still elect to go to Oregon State. That is the concern of many.

We have a lot better program than Oregon State and a better coaching staff. There is no reason for them to go to Oregon State, other than it is just a west coast thing and closer to home.

I can think of a few reasons; better conference, better fans, better chance to stay eligible (jock school) and a coaching staff that has put around 2 dozen guys in the the NFL.

It sounds like we'll know pretty soon. SMU has been working to get him in with his current test scores. Would be great to get him in class and in Spring practice!

I hear Holloway is a done deal (to us). No information on Moreland.
