been monitoring the Houston Scout free board. Internet rumors that DT Marrick Charles may be visiting Jason Phillips at SMU. Trevon Stewart is pretty solid to UH and not likely to visit SMU. Their DT commitment from Lufkin- Mark is visiting Sumlin at A&M. They lost a 2 star QB with big high school numbers to FAU. A group of targets from Patterson Louisiana are strongly considering Louisiana Tech

At least our recruits are going to UCLA and WSU not FAU and La Tech

I read the 2013 class of Houston recruits will be a bonanza. Hoping JP works his magic at that time.

DT is a position of need for us for sure. I know LA Tech is high interest for a lot of the Houston commits from LA.

La Tech's coach is going to be a HC in a AQ conference in 1-3 years. He is a rising star. When Tuberville gets canned at Tech, Sonny is probably the guy to take the job his dad once had.

Frankly, most of Houston's better coaches have left.

So- long story short- cougar high is losing a number of recruits but SMU is not getting the looks. Is that correct?

Dykes has them playing well. They gave TCU a good game. Dykes is also apparently a good recruiter.

Bad conference, bad school, no bcs......the only reason to go to la tech is grade problems.

Anybody else nervous about Cougar High hiring the DeSoto Coach? I wish we could get a Skyline Coach on our staff. I bet those 2 schools have had more D1 recruits in the last 5 years than anybody.

June hasn't been on a staff with those guys way back in the day, why would he hire them.

Houston is stacked at DT. Donald Hopkins committed today, and they already have Tomme Mark and Marrick Charles. They will be tough on their d line for years to come.
