Looks like the pirate has snagged another former SMU commit.

Signing day is 2 1/2 weeks away. I'll reserve my judgement until then.

Now, it's time to connect the dots as to why you have 2 going to Washington St and 2 going to UCLA.
Everything is not as it would seem.

I'm curious what your theory is. Obviously Klemm is no longer with us and is now at UCLA so that explains those de-commitments from SMU and commitments to UCLA. I totally get someone wanting to go to UCLA. The Washington State commits may be due to a variety of factors including proximity to California, PAC-12 affiliation so they get multiple games in California, current BCS affiliation, playing for Mike Leach, going to a town where you will be the show as there is literally nothing else to do, etc. Not sure what you mean by connect the dots. Feel free to pm me if you don't want to put it out there.

The answer is the recruits going to wsu have buddies there already. Couple of Serra kids, and I know a kid from La Habra High is going to play again with his old QB. They made inroads years ago, and now it is paying off.
Go Ponies!

The almighty klemm now has some competition. He is losing marginal Pac-12 prospects from Los Angeles to Washington State. UCLA should be able to beat Washington State 9 times out of 10 for kids from Southern California and especially for ones that are not widely recruited.

To lose a player you have to offer them. He only offered Palacio and no one is sure if his offer still stands. He didn't offer anyone else.

Palacio has an offer from UCLA. It is true UCLA revoked their offer to Marks and have not offered Lewis.

I think Stallion said that Klemm just got a commit from another highly regarded player. But bottom line is WE got beat by WSU for Palacio. I think he would have been good here IMO.

All we did was call and ask the guys if they were still interested in SMU even though they were already committed. What kind of recruiting strategy is that? My question would have been is there a reason I shouldn't be?

If we ain't flying (to visit high-profile, wavering recruits), we ain't trying

I hope they enjoy their four-year sentence in Pullman, Washington. Only major city within an eight-hour drive is Spokane. And, they've been to the Rose Bowl once in 75 years.
I hope they have fun playing for a coach who sees nothing wrong with sending someone suffering from a concussion into a shed.
