Kharlake Martin
Posted: Mon Jan 13, 2003 3:01 am...although he is not committed to SMU he appears to be leaning to SMU. For those looking for some "Beef", Martin is 6-6, 345 5.5. Others in contention are UCF and the Raiders and Aggies who have only recently got back involved with Martin. Because of the loyalty shown by SMU and UCF it will probably come down to those two. However for clarity Rivals says that all four schools have offered giving us a shot at a rare recruiting victory against two state schools. A&M offer wss reportedly from Coach Fran not Slocum. Other schools like UH and Kansas have also been in pursuit. He was impressed particularly with the academics and Ford Stadium and said SMU would be hard to beat.

I really hope we pick this guy up. Faucette could really get this kid in top shape !
