Klemm at UCLA

I think Klemm is an excellent recruiter and will do well at UCLA. He was a big loss to SMU. Time to move on. But, I'm sick of posts like this

"that's would make 8 commitments plus 5 who are 4 Stars on Scout or Rivals-where are those SMU fans saying Klemm was getting killed in recruiting?" I'm right here with some facts.

I'm sick of them because they are totally false. I would like to state some facts with regards to Klemm at UCLA. Some posters give credit to Klemm for every player that commits to UCLA. Again, he is an excellent recruiter and a major loss. Here is who Klemm as so far recruited to UCLA

Orjioke - 3 Star LB out of Georgia. Klemm was his recruiter. Should be noted that he moved from CA to GA a year ago and when Klemm was at SMU and was recruiting him, he always said UCLA was his dream offer and would go there if he was offered.

Ceachir - 3 star JC lineman who Klemm recruited at SMU and recruited to UCLA.

Cybart - 3 star lineman who picked UCLA over Stanford and Colorado.

Hulick - 2 star lineman who decommitted from SMU and had offers from Army and Nevada.

Printz - 2013 - QB who will be ranked 4 stars.

And that is it. Here are their other commits post Neuhiesel being fired and who recruited them.

5 star DL McCarthy - recruited by Coach Martin
4 star DB Rios - recruited by Coach Martin
4 star DB Adams - recruited by Coach Martin
3 star DB Lagace - committed to Martin at Washington and followed him to UCLA
3 star DB Owens - committed to Martin at Washington and followed him to UCLA
3 star FB Powell - recruited by Martin
2 star RB Moreanu - not sure on this one, he was this weekend, but it was NOT Klemm

Looks like UCLA is going to have a more talent over the next 2 or 3 years than they have had in a long time. With Printz as their QB and Mazzone as OC looks like USC and Oregon could be challenged in about 2 or 3 years. Especially USC when Barkley graduates.

And again, Klemm is a stud recruiter and a major loss. I'm just sick this board giving him credit for every player that commits to UCLA when the truth his, he is not lighting it on fire AS OF YET. He has gotten some nice recruits, but by UCLA standards, which views itself as competing with USC and Oregon, his recruits SO FAR, have been average and he is a distant second on the staff as a recruiter.

Lacey Westbrook committed to UCLA on 11/4 and never decommitted. When Nuehisel's and his staff were fired, he took a few visits, but he never decommitted. When he took his trips, he said he was still committed to UCLA. He was always going to UCLA.

Now, one of those trips was to SMU and Klemm was recruiting him to SMU. When the new staff was hired at UCLA he knew Klemm and liked him a lot. But hard to give Klemm credit for getting him when he committed to UCLA a month and a half before Klemm got there. And he has been downgraded to a 3 star on Scout.

It shows visit on 1-6-12 but shows committed on 11-03-11.

It accurate.

Dwan is full of [deleted]. Go back and check every UCLA commit and see what they say on Scout and Rivals as the reason they recommitted to UCLA when several were bailing. Dwan you're wrong. Got it? You aren't even listing the right players

Dwan is wrong-he had basically opened the door and was looking around. Here is a note from Scout on Westbrooks recommitment that he now calls 100%:I could find the same type of quote for every one of those guys-just saw one from the Trinity LM too

Jim Mora hasn’t been by to see me yet, but I have spoken to him over the phone. I went to the practice and the meeting at UCLA last weekend,” commented Westbrook. “I am planning on taking an official out there in January.”

The coach, Westbrook says he has the closest connection to is one of Mora’s new hires, Adrian Klemm, who Mora brought over from SMU.

“I talk to Coach Klemm, the offensive line coach the most. I really just created that
