Supposedly we are going after another UNT recruit, Sam Rice OL Coppell. Has offers from UTEP, Duke, Memphis, and UNT(even though rivals doesn't list it or him as a commit).

It's strange that Rivals doesn't list SMU as one of his college choices.

Golden Stang... There was a Rivals list with an Juco OL named Donovan Frazier. Rivals listed his college choice as SMU, in fact it was the only college choice he had. Do you know anything about this?

Well he is supposedly committed to UNT and they don't even have that listed as an offer so who knows. It could be a kid that just doesn't talk to the media or it could be because UNT doesn't have an active rivals site keeping track of their guys.

Ha- well as someone posted earlier- perhaps we can make a 4* out of two 2*s.
Probably best to wait until signing date before making too many more comments. Although I am suprised that we have heard nothing from JP recruiting. Wasn't he hired to recruit?

could this be son of former SMU OLM Doug Rice-somewhere I think I heard he had a son that was being recruited. Father was originally from Arkadelphi I believe

Ja'Gared Davis and Taylor Reed would like to remind you that their 2-star rating hasn't kept them from knocking heads. That said it looks like on the whole, the two star recruits June & co are talking to actually WANT to play at SMU. Good grades on some of these kids as well.

I love how people name a few 2 stars that do something but forget about the 15 others that could not cut it. Going forward we can't miss on 10 or 15 2 star recruits just to hit on 2 or 3. That is why we have depth issue now and as Jones put it next year could be rough because we have some many 2 stars from that 1st and 2nd class on the team.

Heard that his brother Tanner is transferring from Air Force to Texas Tech. He is a defensive lineman. I think he will have 3 years to play.

An exception doesn't make the rule bunk.
