Hopefully the addition of Jason Phillips moves us back to the top of his list!

Knock, then knock again, then keep knocking. He committed to SMU all the way back in February, by far the earliest of the class. Close the deal and land him, coach(es).

I have a hard time thinking we'll get him. It would be a major win if we did, no doubt. Keeping Myers and landing Lewis (again) would go a long way towards legitimizing this class IMO.

Yes! I've said it before, but Lewis is one of my favorite recruits.

He's small, but he'll get stronger. He'll produce some serious highlights wherever he goes.

I really hope he ends up a Mustang

Sounds like Wazzu is the best fit according to the goals he listed.

sbsmith - if you can delete your post I would. If it's true that recruits and families check pf, then how is your post helpful?

I think we should be thoughtful in some of our responses, and frankly, I personally disagree, since I think he could be used here extremely effectively, in the slot and as a change of pace back. Go Mustangs. RL - you'll be a great fit here!

The women are WAY HOTTER in Dallas. I've spent time in Washington, and no offense to anyone with ties to the area, but their hottest woman is average at best around here.Robert, think about where you want to spend your college years very carefully!

I'm not really interested in censoring my own posts on the small chance that a recruit might make their decision based on an observation I made. An article about Lewis' college decision was posted and I made I comment on where I thought he might end up based on the goals he listed. He wants to play right away and make and impact and his best chance at that is at Wazzu since Leach will be throwing the ball 50 + times a game and rotates in a lot of receivers, he could be useful here as well but there's a reason he dropped us for Wazzu to begin with.

I think Lewis' best chance to play is at SMU. He can come in and get in the rotation quickly and start using that speed he has.

Robert Lewis playing for Coach Phillips would be awesome. Hey Robert, just look at how well his WRs have done at Houston lately...AND YES a Coach Phillips coached team and his receivers at Houston BEAT a more talented Mike Leach's last Texas Tech team, just a few years ago.

First, it is nice to see that we are competing with other BCS schools for this recruit, and that we are ahead of Oregon at this point. Oregon.

All I would tell Lewis is that yes, Washington State is a much worse team than SMU. He probably would be able to play as a true frosh there. That is true.

At SMU, he would have the chance to win from the moment he stepped on campus. And when DJ graduates next year, he and JJ will be awesome out of the slot for the next two years. He will be able to put up the big numbers DJ and Cole have.

In the end, he will put up big numbers at SMU, and big numbers at Washington State. There is really only one difference.

Coach Jones has a much, much better track record of getting WRs to the pros. From Hawaii through the last two drafts, Coach Jones has shown that he runs a system were receivers not only put up big numbers, but also learn the professional game. That is the difference. And that is why Lewis should choose SMU.

Beyond football, the weather here is better, the school is better, and the women are much, much better.

Doesn't seem like much of a choice to me.

Would it be that hard for you to just delete/change the post? Why leave it up when it can only hurt?

Don't be a [deleted]

He has as much of a chance, if not a better chance of succeeding at SMU. Don't make a statement like that if you don't know what you're talking about.

It's quite simple really;

More passes + high percentage horizontal passing offense + coach who plays several WRs during a given game = better chance to play right away and make a big impact

Like I said before, there's a reason he dropped us for Wazzu to begin with.
