Signing Day Surprise

Klemm pulls a shocker as Cal then Washington commitment Jordan Payton signs with UCLA-lists aren't up right now but Klemm gets credit for 9 or is it 10 at UCLA. He had 8 at SMU at one point plus he responsible for initiating contact with 3 at SMU. That's unheard of-never seen anything like it. Could be named Recruiter of the Year considering the limitations. The incredible success UCLA has enjoyed goes back directly to the momentum Klemm created when that was Mora and a 2 man staff working the recruits

ESPN said that LSU coaches are meeting now looking at 2013 prospects. I hope we are doing the same.

Every major school has been looking at 2013 recruits for months. There will be an Avalanche of recruits in March, April and May when our Coaches vacation in Hawaii.

Wow, that's incredible work by that limited staff. Maybe they can generate additional revenue by holding summer recruiting camps for other coaching staffs.

Wow, that class was pure garbage a month ago and now it's one of the best in the nation. What a difference a coaching change can make (hint hint CoC & Orsini).

remember also they swept out 9 Neuheisal commitments so they in essence probably went from Top 65 Class to close to Top 10 in 7 weeks with the aid of 3 recruiting aces with childhood backgrounds in their prime recruiting area of LA. Wow what a concept.

I just messaged Carl Hulick that he should mail the SMU hat he was sporting on Facebook and Twitter to
Kelan Lawson and offered to send him the address.

Coach Mason was by our place the other day finally and was asking about juniors. He said they were trying to do a better job here in the metroplex.

Covered this in a previous thread. You are looking at this from a POV of how can I show how great Klemm with no knowledge other than message boards. Klemm is a great recruiter and the Payton flip, which I mentioned was possible and that I would give him credit for, was impressive. But to credit all these kids to Klemm is not accurate. The only thing less accurate than that is to credit the success at UCLA as Klemm and Mora. By doing that, you are not mentioning coach Martin, Yarber, and Broussard. Those three guys are equals to Klemm as far as being recruiters. Mora put together probably 3 out of the top 5 guys on the west coast on his staff. To sit here and say "Wow, UCLA's class, look what Klemm did" probably would work on an SMU fansite, but would get poked about on UCLA's. If you dont agree, I suggest posting this on the UCLA site and see how accurate the almighty Stallion is with?
*And Payton silently committed to Michigan, verbally committed Cal, verbally committed to Washington and then signed his LOL to UCLA. CRAZY

Again everyone of those kids specifically named Klemm. A Save=a Commitment when an entire Coaching Staff is dismissed. Go ask Cal or Arizona or Arizona St or SMU. They did better with building last minute momentum than any school in the Country. The momentum is substantially the result of Klemm all the way.

No, it makes too many people feel self important to constantly run down our coaching staff and some of our players. But don't feel too bad. These same types haunt all of the boards of the other schools no matter how successful the program.
