True test of a class

Postby ponyte » Wed Jan 15, 2003 1:27 pm

The true test of recruiting is when that class of recruits are seniors. How one performs at the high school level doesn't always pan out at the college level. A kid may get hung up on a girl, home sick or just flat not have the desire to commit to a college program.

Factors that can't be measured or predicted. Look at the better classes in '97 & '98. They just didn't produce as hoped.

And I am not trying to rain on our parade just expressing guarded emotions about recruiting and the final results.

I disagree that those classes were this deep - however you are right that there is alot more work to do after they decide to come to the school - we just all know you can't get where we want to go without the first step of a good recruiting year - and now we have a real one!!
