Funny how they denied the drug problems at TCU, but now they admit that the Athletes lived in a "Crackhouse" . . .

The "crack shack" was the name given to the dump of a house a couple of basketball players lived in back in '98.

You crazy little ponies are always trying to spin something negative on the character of TCU athletes. You obviously have no way to criticize our play on the field.


Yes, 3 basketball players lived in a run down house near TCU campus in 1997. They named it the crackhouse because that was a popular term 6 years ago and they did have fun parties with lots of fraternity guys, etc (never hear or saw any drugs). Those players were a part of the TCU FAMILY and I for thought it was pretty cool that all the athletes and non-athletes got along so well.

At SMU, I'm sure the fraternities never have the basketball team over for dinner, etc. I also bet the players are getting paid by alumns so they don't have to live in shack. That '97 team had style, character, and beat SMU 8 games in a row.

Maybe you should stop betting because you're going to lose a lot of money if you don't. You will never have the pleasure of being a Mustang so you will never actually know how it is. Go back to your light crap brown buildings and your overgrown high school stadium and cheer on your horny lizard. You all seem just about as shallow as your mascot getting in our forum and bothering us. Maybe we do the same to you but you won't find me poking around in a purple chatroom. We may not have a great football program but at least we're not purple and at least we have some sort of academics going. I don't see TCU in any top academic categories around the U.S. Another thing, you know nothing about what happened in the 80's so why don't you shut your mouth. Every football program in America has done the same thing and not gotten caught. That's why schools like yours are pushing so hard to try and be allowed to pay players. It won't happen because some schools such as ours have dignity left and have not sold out academics to help our athletic programs. By the way we punished ourself a lot worse than the NCAA did after the Death Penalty. That just goes to show you SMU's commitment to academics(something anyone who wears the color purple knows nothing about). If you want to talk crap come back in a few years when our alumni have given so much money to the school that we are back to prominence in every category and your alumni once again don't give a crap about your school.

Harvard, if you want to yap about academics go start yourself an academic board. If that makes you feel better about your football team, then enjoy the mediocrity.

Esq, sure we had a few guys do some things that no one is proud of, but they are no different than stealing coke machines and getting busted with half the pom squad all liquored up after a WAC tourney loss. Kids are kids, and those things happen, and they pay the price for them just like everyone else.
