Preseason Lemming Mag. Rated Sturidivant

**** out of a possible 5 stars!
6'2", 185 lbs., 4.45
"People that haven't seen Joe play may not rank him as highly as I have, but I've seen him in person and on film and believe me, I came away very impressed. He's a superior athlete with tremendous range and a hard-hitting style of play. Joe looks rather thin at 185, but don't tell that to the ball carriers he collides with. He hits like a 285 pounder and can run like the FS that he is. He recorded 133 tackles, 2 picks, and broke up 4 passes as a junior on his way to earning All-State mention at the FS position. He also carried the ball 100 times for 666 yds. and 4 TSS while catching 17 passes for 336 yards and 4 scores. Extremely versatile, he can play WR, FS, or SS in college. He's also a standout in baseball and played the outfield alongside former PFR A.A. Jeff Francoeur last season and more than held his own batting .356 with 12 stolen bases and 22 RBI's.
Grades-His GPA is 3.9 and he scored a 980 on the SAT.
Schools-His father, Paul Sturdivant, played ball at SMU and he ranks the Ponies alongside MD, GA Tech as the top three."

I like two things in that report:

"He hits like a 285 pounder" (how about we line him up next to that big Devin Johnson kid as our safeties in a couple years?)

and

he chose us over Georgia Tech and Maryland? That's impressive!
