Martin Returns Uncommitted to UCF

Postby Stallion » Mon Jan 20, 2003 1:00 am

the UCF Rivals board is reporting that Kharylake Martin did not commit to UCF on his visit this week. He was pretty politically correct in his comments basically saying that both schools have their strengths and both might offer quick playing time that Tech and A&M wouldn't. He was specifically asked if the distance would play a factor and he said of course it would but probably wouldn't be the complete determining factor. If he goes To SMU he would major in Business if he goes to UCF he plans to major in engineering. He will likely make a decision later this week although he didn't want to rush. UCF coaches are planning an in-home visit Wedesday. I think we need to plan an in-home Monday or Tuesday.

Stallion or Guru, can you explain this guy to me? I read where he was being chased seriously by LSU and Tennessee, and he's settling on SMU or UCF? What gives? Don't get me wrong - I'll be thrilled to get a guy his size, but why would UCF rank ahead of LSU and Tennessee in this guy's head?
