INDIANAPOLIS — The NCAA’s board of directors may put off three key academic changes for one year.

The Committee on Academic Performance says low-resource schools, primarily historically black colleges and universities, should get an additional year to meet the two-year Academic Progress Rate average to be eligible for postseason play next season. Those schools would still be required to meet the four-year average of 900 in 2012-13.

It’s unclear whether a vote will be taken Thursday. The board also will consider giving junior college transfers and future recruits an extra year to meet more stringent entrance requirements.

unfortunately for UCONN and the other BCS/Division 1A schools-none of them are considered "low resource" universities
